What’s the MTP?
The Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) is a long-term transportation plan required for urban areas with populations over 50,000. It helps guide decisions on transportation projects and priorities, affecting everything from road construction to public transit improvements and bike paths.
Our current MTP effort, Elevate 2050 is a federally required, long-term multimodal transportation plan for urban regions that looks 25 years ahead. It assesses current and future needs, creating a roadmap for improving our region’s transportation infrastructure and supporting stronger communities.
